PSS Technicians are primarily tasked with preparing, presenting, and maintaining products and services that facilitate animal care and breeding at barrier and isolator facilities.
Responsibilities Primary ways the Animal Care Technician will contribute to the Envigo team:
Follow standard operating procedures for efficient transfer of materials into and out of animal barrierOperate all equipment in a safe, efficient and careful mannerKeep detailed records on work performedMaintain work area in an organized, clean, and safe conditionOperate washing and sterilizing equipmentReceive and stock incoming supplies, feed, bedding, etcMaintain equipment in a neat and orderly mannerAssemble animal shipping boxes Clean and sanitize work area, storage areas, and animal care areas as assignedMaintain records requiredEuthanize animals as designated Qualifications We are looking for the following from the Animal Care Technician:
Able to perform repetitive tasks efficientlyAbility to follow sterile entry procedures and maintain neat, clean, and safe conditionsAbility to follow detailed proceduresSkills to accurately record, calculate, and maintain detailed recordsAble to work as a team memberAble to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
