Perform cell biology, molecular biology, biophysics and biochemistry techniques to study biological processes in vitro, in vivo and in animals.
Perform RNA, DNA, peptide and protein sample preparations, including cloning, expressions, purifications and characterization. Perform RNA characterization by using acrylamide-bis, TBE, TBE-Urea gels and LC/MS spectrometry.
Independently plan, develop, implement, and manage all assigned experiments and protocols.
Evaluate progress of experiments to ensure that they are proceeding as planned.
Interpret findings, summarize, conclusions and prepare data in final form for publication in scientific journals.
Present data at national or international meetings as a poster or speaker.
Orient and train professional staff and others on methods and procedures used in the laboratory.
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Successful completion of a bachelor's (or graduate) degree in a biological science, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to this position, from an accredited college or university;
OR A combination of experience and education which includes courses comparable to a major in a biological science, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to this position, AND appropriate experience or additional education which demonstrates similarly appropriate skills or abilities needed to perform the duties of this position.
IN ADDITION, to the basic requirement, you must have At least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Government. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Examples of qualifying experience include: Utilizing large scale RNA preparation technique to prepare ten milligrams of RNA samples for structure studies. Utilizing a variety of biophysical instruments (UV, CD, mass, dynamic light scattering etc.) to characterize DNA, RNA and proteins. Utilizing residue specific labeling technology to prepare selectively labeled RNA with isotope-enriched nucleotides for studies. Performing residue specific labeling technology to prepare selectively labeled RNA with fluorescent tagged nucleotides for studies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
