(WMI), an award winning producer of commercial grade lawn equipment, is looking for committed people to join our machining team, assisting the department and team in the manufacture and building of one of the safest, most durable and highest quality lawn equipment in the world.
Hours:
Third Shift 11PM-7:
30AM (additional $3.
00 shift differential per hour for overnight) Overtime may be required on a daily or weekly basisEssential Functions of Press Brake Operators:
o Operates a press brake to manufacture tools, equipment, and other components from sheet metal or metal plates o Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules o Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available o Measures and aligns materials to be used o Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications o Performs routine maintenance on the press brake o Maintains a clean work area o Maintain and ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) o Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements:
Qualified candidates for the role of Press Brake Operator should be able to demonstrate:
o Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls o Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions in English o Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans o Basic computer and math skills o Experience using micrometers, squares, calipers, and protractors o Ability to adapt to climate changes as our facility is not climate controlled o Ability to stand for long periods of time o Detail-orientedEducation and
Experience:
o High school diploma or GED required o Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques o At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred WMI is committed to cross-training and inter-department personnel movements.
