rrrThis is a twelve month position in the Career & Technical Education (CTE) Department of the Frederick Campus of the Maryland School for the Deaf.
r LOCATION OF POSITIONMSD,Frederick Campus, 101 Clarke Place, Frederick, MD 21705r Main Purpose of JobTo lead and grow MSD's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program; provide progressive education, leadership, and supervision of staff and students of the CTE program in partnership with the High School and Transition Programs and Services.
r POSITION DUTIESProvide models of effective teaching strategiesrto instructional staff;rrrParticipate in the development, implementation, andrmaintenance of Maryland's College and Career Readiness Standards in technicalrsubjects;rrrManage complex changes to align curriculum, instruction, andrassessment to ensure students are learning at high levels;rrrParticipate in thermaintenance of Bilingual Education concepts throughout the School;rrrEvaluate jobrperformance of team leaders, teachers, and teacher aides;rrrAssist in therdevelopment and implementation of IEPs and participate in IEP meetings;rrrAssistrin the assessment of staff needs and providing staff development;rrrParticipaterin the coordination of class scheduling, course development, and teacherrassignments;rrrParticipate in the review of applications, interview applicants,rand submit recommendations for hire of new CTE staff to fill multiple newrpositions that will populate MSD's growing CTE program;rrrAlign all programrgrowth with Maryland's Blueprint to meet College and Career Ready Standards,rMaryland State Diploma, and Career & Technical Education pathway, as well asrto stay up to date with the ever evolving economy, labor market, and technologicalrinnovations for which students must be prepared;rrrDirect and assist inrmanagement of student behavior;rrrCreate and post positions, develop and maintainrcollaborative relationships with community partners to further student learningrand trade experience;rrrParticipate inrrenovation and construction meetings for the Veditz building where the Careerr& Technical Education program is located;rrrAnd assume otherrresponsibilities as designated by the Principal.
r MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSrEducation:
A Master's Degree in the Education of Deafrstudents, Education of Deaf students with additional disabilities, or relatedrfield required.

Experience:
A minimum of three years of successfulrclassroom teaching experience with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students isrrequired.
rrrMarylandrState Department of Education Administrator I Certification required (or therability to obtain in a specific time).
Understanding of basic behavior principles and schoolrwide behavior programs and interventions required.
Fluencyrin American Sign Language and written English, and knowledge of Deaf communityrrequired.
Superior interpersonal and active listening skills required.
rrr DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in administration/supervisionrpreferred.
rrExperience in leadership activities that involve organizing,rplanning, directing, and monitoring resources preferred.
rrExperience teaching Career and Technical coursesrat the middle school or high school level preferred.
rrKnowledge of educationalrstrategies for Deaf students with additional needs preferred.
rrExperience inrdeveloping community-based opportunities.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
