We are seeking a self-directed, very organized, high-energy HR Assistant to join our team in its Frederick, MD office.
This position requires a minimum 2 years of relevant generalist experience.
Maintaining confidentiality is an essential duty of this position.
In addition to personnel data and health records, there are many other sensitive matters requiring discretion.

This position consists of a variety of HR responsibilities to include assisting the HR Manager as well as tasks related to benefits, recruiting to employee relations.
This position reports directly to the HR Manager.
Typical work hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:
00 am to 5:
00 pm (however sometimes overtime and/or weekend hours are required when necessary, however not often).

Roles and
Responsibilities:
Assist the HR Manager and General Counsel as needed with all aspects of Human Resources and related projects.
Assist with recruitment activities.
Schedules interviews and meetings particularly when we have many openings (such as 80-100 summer hires).
Assist with employment advertising and recruiting.
Review resumes for open positions, sort candidate based on qualifications and forward to Department Managers.
Assist with new hire on-boarding process to include ensuring all new hire documents are completed and performing on-boarding orientation.
Provide timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues.
Assist with the maintenance of employee personnel records in HRIS system.
Assist with planning and organizing company events and functions.
Participate in committees as needed, i.
e.
DCC (Daly Cultural Committee), Wellness Committee, etc.
Coordinate employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, terminations and payments.
Assist with preparation of Workers Compensation Reports and related follow-up claims with the insurance company.
Assist with the filing of all short-term and long-term disability claims for employees.
Track insurance payments while employee is disabled.
Assist with unemployment claims as well as employment verifications.
Assist and manage ACA reporting and items including updating monthly reports and series codes in payroll/HRIS system.
Assist with annual company audits when requested.
Assist in uploading and maintaining employee information on all health, dental, vision insurance and 401K plan websites.
Assist with Benefit Open Enrollment process on a yearly basis.
Assist in any duties where help is needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's degree required (Bachelor degree preferred).
Minimum of three (2) years HR experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Professional & tactful written and verbal communication.
Customer-service oriented.
Ability to keep company and employee sensitive and confidential information.
Must handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
Maintain a professional code of conduct with employees of the organization.
Must be capable of working within deadlines.
Exceptional time management and organization skills.
