The Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations (DSCOPS) is a subordinate element of the United States Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC) and represents the Command in developing and managing strategic planning, innovation, partnerships, and outreach initiatives.
The DSCOPS works with all elements of USAMRMC, other DoD Services and agencies, foreign agencies, US Government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to provide an interface between USAMRMC and external parties in support of mutually beneficial leveraging of capabilities and greater collaboration.
The focus of the Communications/Outreach Specialist, with the US Army Medical Research and Development Command (USAMRDC), in the G3/5/7 office, will be responsible for identifying and pursuing means in which to foster program promotion and the exchange of information involving both internal and external audiences.
This exchange may take a number of forms, including briefings, meetings, workshops and conferences, or it may include such means as memos, newsletters, and information papers.
The Communications/Outreach Specialist will be responsible for providing support in all forms of public relations activities, including formal and informal publications, press releases, interviews and other promotional materials.
Duties will include gathering, organizing and transmitting information regarding USAMRDC business activities through other means such as conferences, meetings, newsletters, articles, etc.
while also communicating the process of doing business with MRMC and promoting MRDC business development.
o Gather, organize, track and transmit information concerning USAMRDC business activities to multiple internal and external audiences.
o Communicate the process of doing business with USAMRDC and promote USAMRDC business development programs, at conferences and seminars, such as SMARTPROC and MTEC meetings to further educate our collaborators and Industry Partners regarding ways to do business with USAMRDCo Promote STEM-related activities to external audiences.
o Provide logistical support, coordination and meeting materials (such as meeting agendas, minutes, presentations, reports, approval packages, vetting coordination, etc.
) for G-3/5/7-supported internal and external meetings, to include conferences.
o Maintain and update historical archives of all relevant information and data pertaining to the G3/5/7 Office and its mission areas on -USAMRDC approved platforms using government furnished software.
o Attend and participate in projects and meetings in support of the SPO and USAMRMC.
o Meet and communicate with internal and external parties in accordance with Government furnished guidance to support SPO mission areas; updating How to Do Business with Us documentation housed on the USAMRDC website.
o Support development of relationships with the local community and key stakeholders to support USAMRMC and SPO missions.
o Communicate internally with USAMRDC stakeholders on planning, innovation, and partnering procedures.
o Engage in event, meeting, and conference planning and execution.
o Communicate the process of strategic planning to educate USAMRMC personnel and stakeholders.
o Create content for posts to LinkedIn and Facebook or other social media.
o Identify opportunities to promote the USAMRDC mission and elevate worthwhile causes.
o Foster integration and advocate for partnerships.

Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Education and 2-3 year of community outreach and/or project management experience is required.
Individuals must demonstrate excellent organizational and administrative abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.
Individuals must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office applications.

This position is full time onsite at Frederick, MD.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
