Strategic Sourcing Manager at NVR, Inc in Frederick, MD

As a Strategic Sourcing Manager at NVR, you will be responsible for developing and managing a predictive supplier risk management program, which will evaluate risk, develop and manage contingency plans and execute action plans to mitigate supplier disruptions and transitions to alternate suppliers. This role will lead demand management for NVR's supply chain, to ensure suppliers have appropriate inventory in place to support any changes in demand or disruptions to the supply chain. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will provide strong leadership, strategic thinking, project management and implementation skills, and effective partnering with internal and external customers, to manage demand and supply chain risk. Primary Responsibilities Develop and manage a risk matrix and measurement system to proactively identify products and/or suppliers that present a risk to NVR's supply chain and business results.Lead the Procurement team by leveraging the analysis from the matrix and creating and executing plans to mitigate risks as they arise. Lead Procurement's demand management strategy, by validating NVR's requirements against inventory positions to ensure the supply chain has sufficient capacity and inventory in place to meet requirements.Drive change through the supply chain, by evaluating current supplier's processes, supply chains and business strategies. Develop and execute a disaster recovery playbook, which guides the Procurement organization through the process of responding to supplier disruptions and changing to other sources with minimal interruptions. Regularly assess current business operations and systems to identify potential process improvement opportunities and system enhancements. Lead the Procurement team in implementing solutions, which will improve processes, customer service, and business results. Implement best practices and/or utilize progressive tactics to drive improvement within the supply chain, operations and department. Drive cost reduction goals and meet/exceed project timelines, ensuring the change management process has the intended impact on cost reduction. Qualifications 12
years of supply chain experience, including managing growth and risk mitigation for a global supply chain Bachelor's degree required MBA or related advanced degree preferred Excellent problem-analysis and strategic-thinking abilities Proven experience managing a staff of professionals and training and developing employees History of strong negotiation skills and dealing assertively with a sense of urgency Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to interact effectively and manage relationships with business leaders and executive management Demonstrated advanced project management and change management capabilities, along with an ability to lead cross-functional teams Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making and meeting deadlines Highly driven, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative and proactively seeks solutions to problems.
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & Logistics, ProcurementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
