If you have a passion for eating and living well or you'd like to learn about living a healthy lifestyle by working hands on with products that are natural and organic, than Nature's Marketplace Customer service may be the job for you. In this position, you'll provide Incredible Customer Service to customers by ensuring that products are available for sale by breaking down loads, stocking, and refilling products and Knowledge Based Service by working with customers to identify products which meet their individual dietary needs.

Customer
Providing incredible customer service by spending the majority of time on the sales floor, proactively approaching customers in the department, helping them locate products and offering suggestions and solutions to help complete their meal
Familiarizing self with products on the shelves as well as inventory in the backroom to better assist customers in locating items, being able to quickly answer questions about product availability
Spending time with customers discussing health and wellness and answering questions on specific product lines that are available to meet individual health needs; providing knowledge based service through demo program; selecting products, creating fact sheets, and educating employees and customers
Product
Reshopping misplaced products, shrinking out damaged goods and refilling missing items to ensure product levels are maintained and aisles are kept in pristine shopping condition
Breaking down deliveries throughout the day, stocking products on the sales floor and maintaining an organized back room following Simplification practices
Ordering products from multiple vendors daily using multiple methods; ordering machines, vendor fax sheet, and telephone (where applicable)
Keeping up to date on the latest trends related to the green, organic, and wellness movements by reading materials that have been recommended by the Team Leader or Manager
Gaining knowledge about products carried in the department by testing products, reading material provided by vendors, and asking questions of other employees
Results
Setting up displays and merchandising products in innovative and eye-appealing ways to drive sales in the department
Recognizing seasonal holiday and weather effects on product sales, being sure to maintain a constant flow of these products going out on the shelves
Properly handling products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines, aiming to reduce the amount of damage goods and shrink
Reducing unknown shrink by sorting each damaged/returned product by vendor and ensuring that credit is received from the appropriate vendor
Tracking time spent working in each section of Nature's Marketplace weekly (HBC, Dairy, Frozen, and Grocery) and reporting totals to Nature's Marketplace Team Leader or Manager
Using knowledge of Nature's Marketplace focus areas (all-natural, organic, gluten free, vitamins, etc.) to work throughout the store to help develop unique solutions to help establish Wegmans as the place to shop for natural and organic products
Work environment:
Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, frequent heavy lifting, shelving of product, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, and reaching, along with continuous interaction with customers and co-workers. Work involves exposure to and working in cold and below freezing temperatures. The average weight range of items lifted is 8-32 pounds with a maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally. You may receive assistance with heavy items if available. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause allergic reaction).
