PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Analytical Characterization Laboratory (ACL) is part of the Cancer Research Technology Program (CRTP). The CRTP provides cutting edge expertise and technologies primarily in support of the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR) investigators.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary responsibilities of the Research Associate III, will include, but will not be limited to the following: Assist with the development of procedures to be adapted to recombinant (human) antibodies. Development of methods for antibody validation of these antibodies in comparison to mouse monoclonal antibodies. Assist in documentation of methods and dissemination in a standardized format. Participate in the selection process for reagents based on the results of testing. Assist in the associated inventory database creation and maintenance.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a field related to biomedical research or four (4) years equivalent experience in the appropriate field in lieu of degree.
Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
In addition to educational requirements, a minimum of eight (8) years related biomedical experience.
Experience in basic antibody evaluation techniques (ELISA, Western Blot, SDS page, HPLC).
Experience in a GLP or cGMP development environment.
Basic biochemistry background and experience, Prism software data analysis, Microsoft office and Adobe Creative Suite.
This position is subject to obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree or Ph.D. preferred.
Experience in mass spectrometry techniques.
Microsoft Access and / or FileMaker Pro.
